Casey Loose was born in Denver, Colorado, in 1970. He graduated from Metropolitan State College of Denver with a B.F.A. in painting and drawing in 1995. He was a founding member of the artist run coop "ILK Galley" in Denver. In 1998, Casey moved to New York City after living a life filled with construction, renegade art, fresh mountain air, and cowboy cooking in Clark, Colorado, a small mountain town outside of Steamboat Springs. At that time, he began working for Fred Tomaselli, and continues to do so. In addition, through Watanabe Studio, he assisted with restoration of a Sol Lewitt mural and editioning several of Lewitt's prints. Casey has had his work seen at Galapagos Art Space, Schroeder-Romero Galley, Momenta Gallery, Pierogi Gallery, Brooklyn Fireproof, and The Loom Gallery in Brooklyn. VALENTINE Gallery in Queens.
