Betty Hart uses unconventional materials and processes to make works on paper that mix painting, photography, and alchemical tests. She lives and works in Brooklyn and has shown her work in galleries in New York, Chicago, and Pennsylvania. Hart made this print by dipping and soaking watercolor paper in experimental mixed media resists and varying ratios of watered-down sumi ink. Like much of her work, it evokes skin, drapery, and landscape.
