Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to Kayrock Power Tools and Kayrock TileOps, both Adobe Photoshop plugins published by Kayrock Screenprinting. Below, “the Plugin” means whichever of them you have downloaded, installed, or purchased. Where the two differ, the difference is stated explicitly.

1. Image Data

The Plugin does not collect, store, or transmit any image data or document content. All image processing is performed locally on your device within the Adobe Photoshop environment.

2. Data We Collect

We collect and store the following information:

  • Email address: required to download the plugin and to associate with your license key. Your email may be used to communicate important updates about the plugin, such as new versions or changes to these policies.
  • Name: if provided by you or your payment provider during purchase.
  • Adobe User ID: a hashed identifier associated with your Adobe account, used to manage device activations and enforce license seat limits.
  • Technical environment information: including your operating system, Photoshop version, plugin version, locale, and UXP runtime version (typically sent as part of the User-Agent header). This information is stored to help us diagnose compatibility issues and provide support.
  • IP address: recorded during license activation, license validation, download requests, and error reports.

We do not sell, share, or distribute your personal information to third parties.

3. License Validation

The plugin periodically contacts our servers at kayrock.org to validate your license key. This process transmits your license key, Adobe User ID, IP address, and technical environment information as described above. No image data, document content, or usage information is collected or transmitted during this process.

4. Download Tracking

What is recorded depends on how you download.

If you request a download link by email, we record your email address, IP address, User-Agent string, and the time and number of downloads.

If you download directly, without giving an email address, we record only the IP address, User-Agent string, and time. No email address is collected or stored. This is the route TileOps uses from its own site.

This information is used to prevent abuse and to understand how users discover and install the plugin.

5. Error Reporting

If the plugin encounters an error, it will present you with a dialog offering the option to submit an error report. If you choose to submit a report, it will include the error details (stack trace), your plugin version, Photoshop version, operating system, locale, device activation ID, and IP address. Error reports do not include any image data or document content. This information is used solely to identify and fix bugs.

6. Payment Processing

Power Tools is sold by subscription; TileOps is a one-time purchase. In both cases payment is processed by our Merchant of Record. We do not directly collect, store, or have access to your payment card details. We do store raw webhook event data from our payment provider for order fulfillment and audit purposes; this may include your name, email, and transaction details as provided by the payment processor. Please refer to your payment provider's privacy policy for information on how your payment data is handled.

7. Adobe Creative Cloud

The Plugin is distributed both through the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop app and as a direct download from kayrock.org.

When you install or update through Creative Cloud, Adobe may collect installation and usage data subject to their own Privacy Policy. That does not apply to a direct download, which involves only ourselves and you.

8. Network Access

The plugin requires an internet connection for initial license activation, periodic license revalidation, and error reporting. These requests are made exclusively to kayrock.org. No other third-party servers are contacted by the plugin.

9. Data Retention

Your email address, Adobe User ID, and activation records are retained for as long as you hold an active license. Error reports and download logs are retained for as long as they are useful for debugging and support purposes. If you wish to have your data removed from our database, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
